The foundations have been laid, now it is time to explore the first group of insights around how you can program your subconscious mind…

Programming your Subconscious

The key to programming your subconscious mind lies in remembering this:

It is always listening.

Everything you think and say is recorded as a true fact.

If you consciously have negative self-defeating thoughts, your subconscious mind will think this is true and help you to make them happen. If you have positive self-affirming thoughts your subconscious mind will influence all the choices you make to encourage this to manifest.

So essential to programming your subconscious is being able to vividly imagine the future you want to manifest. This includes both the outcomes you want as well as the version of you that will experience them. Have faith that this vision is real.

With enough practice, repetition and authentic action of thought, your subconscious mind will eventually begin to accept your vison as the reality.

With the above in mind, here are some principles and strategies you can leverage to unlock the power of your unconscious mind…

Responsibility

You are the only thinker in your world.

Knowing that your subconscious mind cannot tell the difference between the thoughts you think and your lived experience means that your thoughts are equally important when it comes to programming your subconscious mind.

Regardless of what you think about what other people think, the only thinking your subconscious mind is aware of is your own.

To take on the task of programming your unconscious mind means that you must accept your position of authority and as such responsibility for the thinking which occurs in your psyche.

Regardless of what other people may be thinking, it is your choice and responsibility to determine what you think about their thinking; or simply choose not to think about it at all.

Limitless

Be unconstrained in your thinking – the only limit is the one you choose to perceive.

We humans unconsciously build up a set of beliefs to guide us around how the world functions, what to expect from other humans, and what to expect from ourselves.

This accumulation of beliefs happens throughout our lives and is an essential process which aids us to engage with the world. These beliefs save time and mental effort by allowing us to avoid working everything out from scratch every day. The downside is though that our beliefs about what is possible can limit us.

So, I would ask that when you are manifesting your vison of a successful future and defining who your future self is, do not be constrained by the beliefs that you hold now. Do not worry about how you will get there. Simply let your mind flow freely like you are authoring a story. Be unconstrained in your thinking.

The most important thing is manifesting a vision that feels real; literally like you are experiencing it in the present moment.

As for the how…

Trust

Trust in the process.

The human visible spectrum of light only occupies a small part of the whole scale of light… we don’t know what dark matter or dark energy is, and they occupy about 95% of the universe… we don’t know what is at the edge of the universe, or even if it has and edge… we don’t know what was before the big bang…

So, in life, we don’t know more than we do know…

Meaning that if we find that when we do X, Y happens, we never really know exactly why the causal relationship exists, just that it does.

What fills the gap in our knowledge is trust.

You can test this out…

Right now, pause and reflect on your current life and identify a specific challenge where you are unsure of what to do next. Write it down. Go and place the note on your pillow.

While laid in bed tonight before you drift off to sleep, read the note a few times. Do not search for an answer, simply contemplate he challenge and hold the thought in your mind. Then let go.

Go to sleep as usual, and if any thoughts start to arise, just allow them to drift by not grabbing hold of them.

In the morning, see what insights just pop out of your mind. Do not search, just wait attentively to receive.

You may be surprised by what you discover.

I call this process, “tossing it in the ocean” … you toss the challenge in the ocean and see what the waves wash up on the shore in the morning.

Vision

To make real the outcomes you want, you first need to be able to imagine it in UHD.

The subconscious parts of our mind evolved before the language centres of our mind. This means the way to communicate if through feelings rather than words.

When it comes to cultivating a vision of our success it is not just a case of writing a list of goals, the most effective strategy is to spend some time in deep contemplation, fully imagining what our life will feel, smell and taste like.

You wake up one day in this position of success… What time do you get out of bed? Emotionally how do you feel? What is the weather like? What do you have for breakfast? What house do you live in? Do you have a partner or children? What do you feel about the world? How do you feel about your friends and family?…

The list could go on and on.

Key to creating this vision is taking your time by allowing yourself to fill in all the details to build that feeling of the moment being real. So real it is like that is the present moment right now.

Try five to ten minutes of contemplation and repeat this weekly until you can tap in to that feeling in an instant. If you want to spend longer, spend longer. If you want to start with one minute and build up from there, then go for it. Approach this how it feels right for you, but remember consistency is key.

What we are doing is burning this feeling in to your subconscious mind to act as a compass which will guide your unconscious decision making towards making manifest your vision of success.

Here is something to pause and reflect on which may lay a solid foundation for your visioning process: It is normal to be healthy. It is normal to be effective in taking action. This is what the mind is designed to make manifest.

Authority

Speak with authority.

The more certain your affirmations are, the more accepting your unconscious mind will be. So, when it comes to manifesting your vision speak to yourself like it is real in this present moment. Use language to paint a picture that has happened and/or is happening, not might or will.

If you are defining your goals rather than creating a vision, talk about when they will happen, not if. Be specific too, describe exactly what and exactly when; avoid being vague or non-committal.
