It Is What It Is
It is what is it, but what is it?
Your current life context, the situation you find yourself in, the events that have happened, your perception of what these events mean to you, your current mindset and schemata of the world that enable you to put in to context what is happening.
It, is everything.
“It is what it is” is a variant of the Stoic mantra “amor fati”.
Love your fate – or love your life.
Anytime we feel discontent meaning we are not embracing our current life situation we:
- Are not appreciating the lessons we can learn
- Are disrespecting our own unique life path
- Are choosing to focus on what is not, rather than what is
Fully accepting “what is” means we accept our responsibility to learn while also becoming non-attached to both the past and future outcomes. We are no longer shackled by the weight of the past which then enables us to engage in the present moment and as such lay the foundation of an evolved future. Growth is only possible when we can proceed without fear.
Awareness, acceptance, non-attachment and growth.
Evolution in action.

Enjoy, for now.
