Introduction
This is the concluding post in the Use of Language tool. Now it is time to take a look at why you may want to have this tool in your toolkit…
Always Listening
So now we have covered the core of the use of language tool. Each insight shared contains within it the practical application for it which reveals the benefits it could offer in your life. There is another factor to consider though; the programming of our subconscious mind.
Our subconscious mind is always listening to the internal dialogue of our conscious mind. It can’t actually tell the difference between your internal dialogue and the external dialogue that we have with other humans. All of it is external to the subconscious mind. As a result, it all gets regarded with equal validity.
What this means is that our internal language behaviour matters just as much to our sense of wellbeing as the communication we give and receive towards others.
Our subconscious mind forms its understanding of reality and influences our self-perception using both sources equally.
I will explore this topic further in the final tool of the mindset toolkit: Realising Benefits – The subconscious Mind and Manifestation.
For now, just take it that the place to start to focus your awareness and the application of these insights is in your internal dialogue. You talk internally with yourself more than with anyone else, so focus your attention there first and the rest will come easily.
You cannot give what you have not got.
Benefits and Practical Applications
Of all the tools shared so far, the use of language tool has the most ease of access and direct application immediately to your lived experience. Even while reading this tool, you can ponder how the insights apply to your internal dialogue ass you reflect about reading this tool.
This tool is all about developing precise and skilful use of language. Learning to say what you mean and communicate clearly.
The development of skill leads to the development of confidence, and having confidence in you own ability boosts your self-esteem, having unshakable self esteem enables you to push forward in life with the vigour to embody your authentic self.
Who wouldn’t want to improve the quality of their social connections and ability to communicate?
The use of language tool combines with all of the tools in the introspection toolkit to further strengthen your skillset to thrust the torch of your curiosity in to the depths of your psyche and strip away the layers to discover who you really are. It is core to the development of emotional intelligence which serves to enable more empathetic connections.
Empathy is the stepping stone to Compassion.
Master the art of casting spells with your words and you can use this magic to make manifest the reality you choose to perceive.
I’ll close this tool with this reflection:
There is no good and bad.
Just skilful and unskilful
–Buddhist philosophy

Enjoy, for now.
