Authentic Ego

Authentic Ego

Here is another little thought experiment flowing on from the Universal Flow post

Have you checked out the post Universal Flow?

How about the tool of I am Me in the Introspection Toolkit?

Distilled from these collections, I put it to you that our Ego (the voice we hear in our heads) is simply a construct of our mind. Its persistence within the universe is tied to the persistence of our physical body which in turn within the context of the universe is tantamount to a wave passing through the waters of the ocean.

The wave does not manifest itself, and it only exists within the context of the Ocean.

I put it to you that when we trust our Ego and choose to perceive as reality the words that are whispered, what we are actually doing is showing a lack of faith in our true authentic nature.

Self-trust is not about trusting the words of our Ego, it is about trusting in both our ability to think rationally and in our ability to not think and simply act. Neither of these directly involve taking the Ego seriously.

Self-trust is the foundation of self esteem

Self esteem is the foundation of confidence.

Confidence is the precursor to authentic action

Evidence of authentic action builds self-trust.

Enjoy, for now.
