Realising Benefits – Introduction

In the first post of this series, we introduced different concepts for how we can understand the conscious and unconscious elements of the human mind. Now we will build on these foundations and explore how other tools in The Mountain Pathway can be leveraged in this process.

How does it work?

A Conscious Choice

This insight gives the big picture “how does it work” behind your application of the mindset tools.

You are not just looking for an immediate return on investment; you are laying the foundation for compound interest in the future. Programming your subconscious mind to subtly effect change and steer you towards your vision of the future.

So, with that in mind; the foundation of this tool starts with the simple awareness of the influence our unconscious programming has over the conscious choices we make and acceptance of the fact we can over time, influence our unconscious programming to align with our updated ways of thinking.

How do we do this?

The human mind is like a never-ending onion where we can peel away the layers to infinity. As such, the opportunities for us to develop awareness of our choices are also endless. We need to start somewhere though!

In the introspection toolkit the tools are insights that I have personally used in my life to develop a greater awareness of, and influence over, my own thinking processes – both conscious and unconscious. The conscious elements being my cognitive behaviour that I am aware of and the unconscious element being the beliefs and scripted behaviour patterns that influence the conscious element.

So, I would recommend first engaging with key tools from the introspection toolkit to develop your awareness of your internal landscape and using this to identify the choices you can make along with accepting your responsibility for these processes. Then with this foundation laid, you can progress on to revisiting the mindset tool kit and leverage the insights to come around how to program your subconscious mind while implementing the mindset tools for yourself.

Here are links to the key tools to light your way:

Stash these lists, and once you have read the insights I am about to share around programming your subconscious mind, revisit each of the tools listed above and integrate the knowledge while leveraging these new perspectives on the mind.

Your second exploration of these tools with this new perspective will be much different to the first.

Here is a diagram which outlines how this journey could work:

The meat of this tool how to program your subconscious mind…

Enjoy, for now.
